Post Open Letter to your Elected Representatives

sad...me and my sons where blessed with a truck after a year or more without a car. the promblem is the radiater has a small hole in it and we cant get the money to have it fix. we found someone that said they can fix it for 40-75 dollars depends on the size of the hole. also we have no money for car insurance and tags for the truck.to be able to get this truck on the road will be a true blessing from God. we have no way of getting around and if we could find help with this request would be great...thank you

Hey everybody. I have been out of the loop for a while. I just read some of the suggestions regarding my house and the repairs I needed. Sometimes what seems like a disaster really isn't. Back on September 21st 2010, I got up at 4:00 am to get ready to go to work and rain was pouring through my ceiling fan. There was nothing I could do at that time of day, so I went on to work. Thank God there was concrete under the carpet. Anyway....Insurance is a wonderful thing. I filed a claim with my insurnace company while I was at work and by the time I came home that evening, Servpro was taking care of the water damage. With my insurance money, I was able to relace my ceiling, replace the three sections of my roof that needed to be replaced and replace the carpet with floor tile, which was what I had been dreaming of doing anyway. It took me from September until February to get everything done. There were several mix ups with my check from the insurance company. I didn't mind because being patient is very rewarding. I ended up with almost $1000 more when everything was settled with my insurance payment. I have five more years, then my house will be paid for. In between now and those five years, I plan to have little repairs done along the way. After the house is paid off, I plan to get another loan to do some work in the kitchen and bathroom. After everything is done, I will sell it and start over with the money left over after paying off the loan that I get for the repairs. Or I will rent it out on Section 8. Sounds like a plan to me. I have been divorced since December of 1990. I had planned to be remarried by now. But if I'm not by the time I finish the plans with the house, I may move out of town or even out of state. So... I know it's true. Blessings come in disguises. I thank God for all of my many blessings.

So, I finally got it together to move into my own apartment downtown! It's great! However, I still haven't managed to find a job... Luckily my boyfriend works so he's been helping out and I get some money from school so we've been keeping afloat so far. Unfortunately, I have no idea when i'll be able to really get a job... I went to the emergency room a couple of weeks ago and they told me they think my aplastic anemia may be coming out of remission. My white count was down and my platelet count was down so I have to wear a medical mask everywhere I go. I don't see anyone hiring me anytime soon. Even worst still I don't have insurance so I haven't actually been able to go back to the doctor to find anything else out or do anything about my current condition. If anyone knows of any programs in Michigan for people like me or any FREE clinics (Not low income but FREE) it would help me tremendously...

Really need some advice on dental care and dental insurance so if anyone has any advice PLEASE let me know! Dont have that much money but really need to get my teeth fixed. If it was a perfect world i would be rich and have thousands to shell out for my teeth but unfortunately its not and i am a working student. I do nothing but sleep, work and school work! NO LIFE! :( Hope someone can help!

I don't know where to begin... Stumbled on to this site from google because I was looking up information about Aplastic Anemia. It's a disease where your bone marrow can't produce your blood cells, usually because of a autoimmune disorder, meaning that your immune system is attacking the stem cells that produce your blood cells. I used to have it. It's considered a life threatening disease that you live with for the rest of your life unless you get a bone marrow transplant, and I haven't had one. But I don't like to say that, I believe words have power, so when I speak about it, I say I used to have it. I had drug therapy to treat it and I'm healthy now, not 100%, but healthy, so I consider my self cured. As far as I can tell anyway, I lost my health insurance in 2006. But anyway doctors however consider it being in remission.

I've been okay for years now, but every once in a while something will happen to make me think about when I used to be sick. I googled Aplastic Anemia and pregnancy. I never thought about it before, I was only 16 when I got sick. But I'm 23 now and I have found the love of my life and I wanted to know how it would affect me. I thought maybe there was a risk to the baby, a risk genetically as far as who I have a child with. But none of that was a problem. What I found out was that I could get sick again by getting pregnant. That scares me so much.

Apparently getting pregnant is actually a CAUSE of Aplastic Anemia. Even more surprising the first known case of Aplastic Anemia was in a pregnant woman. I guess I could handle the idea of a baby that doesn't exist yet being sick better than me getting sick again. Does that make me a horrible person? All my life, I just wanted to be normal, I've never had a normal life. Even before getting sick my life was pretty abnormal and bad (something I'll talk about in later posts). The minute I think it can't get worst than this it does. 2x. I felt like starting a new family, my OWN family would be a fresh start, and now I might even be denied that.

My name is Linda and I live in Ohio I have let me teeth go almost to long. I work at Kmart and have recently gotten dental insurance i have to have 4 fron teeth pulled to begin with and they want to put in a tempory bridge. My appointment was for tomorrow but when I called to see what my co pay would be i almost fell off my chair. They want almost 700.00 even with insurance i do not know where to turn or what to do. I need htis done like yesterday my 4 front teeth are handing on by tendons so the sentist said. Is there any help out there for help with co-pays for low income persons who ar not eligibl for help from job and family assistance I am in so much pain I can not eat

Where to begin.......I guess everything that can happen....has happened. We had a great business for about ten years and then the economy destroyed it. My wife spent four days in the hospital ( no insurance) and thats over 00 so far. I have severe clinical depression and am unable to work and due to no insurance......no therapy or meds. Our vehicle is a couple weeks away from repo. We're in a deep hole financially and its pretty hard to hang on. My wife is looking hard for a job but even when she finds something its going to be difficult to come out of this without a little help. We're a family of three and we live a very simple life with few frills. We've simplified and sold almost everything we can to make money. We just pray that things will improve soon. Any help or ideas would be so appreciated. Thanks

I have been on my own since I was 9.  I was never given proper medical care.  My teeth are badly compromised, my kidneys hurt and I have a pain in my right lung that scares me.  I can't make ends meet on top of everything else.  I am 30 and I am afraid I wont live to see 35.  I am afraid I will see a morgue before I see a dr.  I can't afford insurance nor do I qualify for AHCCS.  I am not looking for a handout.  I just want enough relief so that I can make payments to one person rather than 50 institutions.  If someone can just give me a break for once I can show how dedicated I can be when I am not worrying about how to live.  Please help me.

Life is funny...why can't things just be a little more simpler sometimes.....I have no health insurance and the emergency room is my doctors office, just reaching 30 and I'm already in debt over $30,000 just for medical bills and I didn't have any surgery or diseases....here I am thinking about filing for bankrupcy just to be able to start over....and what's up with our credit system.....people are so quick to threaten your credit over every thing....if you fall ill and have medical bills....you're going to end up with bad credit if you can't afford to pay them right away....I'm venting but I just feel like wow this is what my life came to.....everything was fine, I was healthy and bam!!!! $30,000.00 What happened to the help for the people in the middle!!! I'm not rich and wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth...and I'm not on welfare, section 8, social services I couldn't get on it even if I tried even thought I know people on it that have no business being on it!!! Where is the help for the middle man!! it's crazy...there is no American dream anymore just a nightmare!!!!!!!!!tell me why an insurance policy in NY for 1 person cost over $1,000.00 a month!..wow!!!I don't get it!!It's all a conspiracy!!

Alright. I live in Brownville, NY (Jefferson County)

My husband was laid off last night, and will get a partial paycheck of about $50 on thursday, this wont cover our bills that are comeing up. water bill and insurance for our car. We let our landlord know the minute we knew he got laid off that we would be late on the rent. he is being very understanding. we told him we would pay him what we owe him with our income taxes plus 2 months. but in the mean time we havnt but this $50 or so to get us through. is there any organizations that could offer help in my area that anyone knows of? i tried looking up 2-1-1 but its not offered in my area.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

when i was young i was neglected as a child. which led to poor dental health. as a result of that my front teeth started to decay, chip, and break. now i'm grown and have started to over turn this destruction. now i need help with dental expenses for tooth implants. is there any grants insurance plans or non profit org. that will cover or even help with this?

Car payment, Car Insurance Payments, and Repairs.

I have a car that my grandma bought me so I could get back and forth to college, as well as help family out by going to get groceries, pet stuff, and whatever else maybe on the list. However, since my last little car accdent I hadn't been able to drive it because the allinment is messed up. So right now, I have no money to fix that, but right now I am not worried about repairs as much as the car insurance and payments. I only have four payments to go and I don't have money to get this payment done, I am short by $83 and for my car insurance this month as well I need another $30.

Also one last thing is that I live in a town with no job openings so I can't find a stable job right now. The only two ways I get any money is being in college still and help a best friend's mom by cleaning her house for $20 a week. Though I am in college there is public transporation I can use to get to campus or a friend so I can be in class. I just miss my car right now and my main worry is getting all these payments done before I start working on getting my car repaired to drive again.

My uncle is a good man always worked for everything he has and is now in a tite spot can anyone help or give advice on what we should do. His name is Tom Ryan and he is going to school currently for wind turbines. He hurt his back and needs surgey but his insurance only covers part of it. His portion comes to about 7600 dollars and the nerosurgon says he won't even schudle the surgey till it is paied if he does not have the surgey soon he will lose his school funding and everything he has worked so hard for. This would have been his last semester. We don't know what to do or where to turn someone tell us where we can turn.
